Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) likely a game-time decision

St. Brown has not practiced this week to deal with an ankle sprain, but has been connecting with mental health representatives.

He says it is “still up in the air” whether he will play or not, as he continues to test the ankle to make sure he can change direction during stops and cuts without making things worse.

“It hurts, but it’s getting better. So, that’s good news. Just day by day,” St. Brown told reporters Tuesday. “Just trying to make sure I’m there for my guys.

He suffered an ankle injury during the opening quarter of Detroit’s 31–24 loss. green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving and did not return.

Initially, Campbell thought he might be out for a week or two, but St. Brown is still pushing for him to play if he is able as the Lions enter this final five-game stretch fighting for a playoff spot.

The All-Pro receiver leads Detroit with 75 receptions for 884 yards and nine touchdowns in his fifth season as team captain.

“It’s getting better every day, so I’m hoping it continues to get better over the next few days,” St. Brown said of the ankle.
