Lamb told reporters Thursday that he and Pickens were jailed for not attending the team’s 10 p.m. curfew on Sunday night after having dinner and drinks at the casino.
After the Cowboys’ 33–16 win, Schottenheimer said the players were informed of the disciplinary action before the game, but he did not get into specific details.
“He won’t play favorites with anyone,” Jones told The Fan. “He felt very strongly [about] He, he was part of it. I think a lot of people thought they had to be together because they’re such good friends, but believe it or not, one was the night before dawn, and the other was not getting buses.”
Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said in a separate interview on The Fan on Friday that he had a problem with players partying the night before the game.
“Yeah, I do,” said Jerry Jones. “I don’t have a problem with partying, but when we’re going out there and we have special teams meetings, that’s usually where most of the team is, but still, the idea is that it’s a business trip.”
