Granddaughter of 'Charlotte's Web' author criticizes DHS using book name in Charlotte operation


Martha White, granddaughter of “Charlotte’s Web” author E.B. White, criticized the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for using the novel’s name to refer to its Charlotte, NC, immigration enforcement operation. The Trump administration has called this effort “Operation Charlotte’s Web”. “He believed in the rule of law and due process,” Martha White said.
