Are Thanksgiving meals cheaper this year over 2024?

Target announced that it is offering its holiday meals for under $20 for four people, which is estimated to be less than $5 per person.

“Our under-$20 Thanksgiving meals are even lower priced than last year, but we’re not stopping there,” said Lisa Roth, Target’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of food, essentials and beauty. “We also have new seasonal favors, stylish table decorations, festive apparel and beautiful greenery and flowers.”

Is food cheaper than last year?

When examining whether Thanksgiving meal prices this year are cheaper than in 2024, there are some slight differences.

Last year for the holidays, Walmart offered a 29-item meal that served eight people for less than $7 per person. The last bundle from Aldi and Walmart added up to $47, which is $7 more than this year’s offer.

As far as Amazon goes, they’re offering a full meal plus all the features for $25, which is roughly equivalent to same deal From a year ago.
