Aldi The discount is offering its lowest prices in years for Thanksgiving meal packages. Items, including ingredients for the turkey and nine traditional side dishes, are less than $4 per person, or about $40 to serve 10 people.
“Value leadership is part of our DNA, and the holidays are when our commitment to value really shines,” said Scott Patton, chief commercial officer, Aldi US. We believe families shouldn’t have to compromise to feed everyone, especially on Thanksgiving.
Target announced that it is offering its holiday meals for under $20 for four people, which is estimated to be less than $5 per person.
“Our under-$20 Thanksgiving meals are even lower priced than last year, but we’re not stopping there,” said Lisa Roth, Target’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of food, essentials and beauty. “We also have new seasonal favors, stylish table decorations, festive apparel and beautiful greenery and flowers.”
Is food cheaper than last year?
When examining whether Thanksgiving meal prices this year are cheaper than in 2024, there are some slight differences.
Last year for the holidays, Walmart offered a 29-item meal that served eight people for less than $7 per person. The last bundle from Aldi and Walmart added up to $47, which is $7 more than this year’s offer.
