Prince Harry apologizes to Canada for wearing Dodgers hat at World Series

Prince Harry apologized to Canada on Thursday for wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers cap world series gameWhere the Dodgers were playing against the Toronto Blue Jays.

“First of all, I’d like to apologize to Canada for wearing this,” Harry said. Canadian broadcaster CTVReferring to the scandal as “Hatgate”.

“Secondly, I was under pressure,” he joked. “There weren’t much of a choice. I was invited to the LA Dodgers box or dugout by the owner himself, so I thought I was doing the polite thing.”

After wearing a Blue Jays cap during the interview, he explained that because he was “missing a lot of hair on top”, he also wore a Dodgers cap to cover his head “under the flood lights”.

“You’ll take any hat that’s available,” he said, smiling. “So Game 5, Game 6, Game 7, I was the Blue Jays all the time. Now that I’ve accepted that, it’s going to be very hard for me to return back to Los Angeles. But now I’m very sorry to the Canadian public.”

Harry lived in Canada, which had the same rule as King Charles III.

Although the Dodgers trailed the Blue Jays for most of Game 7, they won 5–4 after 11 innings last week. This marked the Dodgers’ second consecutive World Series victory, making them the first team to win back-to-back titles since the New York Yankees won three in a row from 1998 to 2000.

“It’s sad to see the Blue Jays lose, but go Jays,” Harry said.
