The women’s college volleyball season continues. We’ll run weekly updates on the Field of 64 until it’s officially revealed by the selection committee on November 30 (6 p.m. ET, ESPN).
There are 31 automatic bids with 33 at-large teams selected by the NCAA Volleyball Committee. Volleyball seeds the top eight teams in each region, and the top four in each region serve as hosts for the first and second rounds. The remaining brackets have been filled to balance competition and geography. The highest-remaining seeds also host regionals, and the 2025 Final Four will take place in Kansas City, Missouri on December 18 and the final on December 21.

bracket clock
Halloween weekend was a scary one for previously undefeated Texas with two losses. The Longhorns lost their grip on the SEC race after losing to Texas A&M in five sets and then suffered a loss to Kentucky. This further solidified Nebraska’s ranking as the No. 1 overall team in the country. The Cornhuskers, who have not lost a set since mid-September, are the only undefeated team left in the country. Texas, meanwhile, didn’t fall off the top line. With a No. 2 RPI ranking, the nation’s top-rated schedule and eight top-25 RPI wins, the Longhorns remain a strong No. 1 seed. The Wildcats’ win moved them into the top spot. Kentucky is undefeated in conference play and has four games to play.

bubble clock
Marquette fell to the brink of the bubble with losses in three of its last four. Auburn has strung together three wins since the last bracketology took the field. With next week’s schedule at Texas A&M and Texas, the Tigers’ stay on the field may be short. Cincinnati fell out of the field by losing three times to potential NCAA Tournament teams (Kansas, Baylor and TCU), but with Colorado, Iowa State and Arizona State still to come, the chances to come back are considerable.
In the final four: Illinois, Michigan State, Auburn, Marquette
First four out: Cincinnati, Florida State, Villanova, Arizona
Next four out: Oregon, Georgia, Utah, Tulsa
