Brahmer, a junior from Pierce, Nebraska, was on one knee after beating Arizona State Keith Abney IIHe briefly got to his feet and started walking before collapsing on the ground. The Iowa State athletic training staff was immediately called for a medical cart. An Iowa State spokesperson told ESPN that Brahmer briefly gave a thumbs-up as he left the field and was taken to Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames as a precaution.
Brahmer earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors in each of his first two seasons with the Cyclones, and entering Saturday’s game he had 29 receptions for 319 yards and three touchdowns. He had three receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown in the ASU game.
