I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Drew McIntyre would be a star in any decade of pro wrestling. Friday’s main event between Uso and McIntyre was a solid and fun TV main event between two giants, and I hope McIntyre gets another world title shot soon. But it’s hard to imagine that happening on “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on Nov. 1. Rhodes and McIntyre will undoubtedly have a great match, but don’t expect Rhodes to be dethroned.

• I absolutely love Ilja Dragunov’s idea of continuing the US Championship Open Challenge. American titles have this kind of charm and are a great medium to help make the star (and sometimes drive the story). Dragunov defeated Sami Zayn last week and then Aleister Black on Friday to prove that he can definitely carry this kind of weekly load and make it one of the most entertaining and must-watch parts of the show, just like Zayn has.

• MFT looked strong and dangerous, which is what they needed in this tag team match against Fenix and Shinsuke Nakamura. The Wyatt Six are waiting, and MFT needed a match they could win convincingly. I see the clash as a strong possibility for Survivor Series: War Games – with maybe a surprise name or two added to the mix.
