Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said late Wednesday that the U.S. military launched another strike against an alleged drug-trafficking boat in the eastern Pacific, killing three “narco-terrorists.”
Hegseth said the ship was operated by a designated terrorist organization and that the individuals on board were engaged in “narco-trafficking”. It is not clear which designated terrorist organization the Defense Secretary was referring to.
According to the defense secretary, Wednesday’s strike took place in international waters and no US service members were injured in the operation.
“These attacks will continue day after day. These are not just drug dealers – these are narco-terrorists who are bringing death and destruction to our cities,” Hegseth said in a statement. Hegseth shared a 26-second video of the attack, which shows the boat tumbling in the water and bursting into flames immediately after the impact.
