Trump in 'exceptional health' after Walter Reed visit, doctor says

President Trump’s doctor says the commander-in-chief’s health is “exceptional” “Semiannual Physical” Friday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland.

During his physical, the president received “preventive health screenings and vaccinations,” including a flu shot and COVID-19 booster vaccination, according to a memo from Trump’s physician Shawn Barbabella.

These screenings and vaccinations were in preparation for his “upcoming international travel,” Barbabella said. Trump plans to fly to Egypt and Israel early next week as part of implementation About his peace plan between Israel and Hamas, After two years of war, both sides have agreed to this.

“President Trump is demonstrating excellent overall health,” Barbabella wrote. “He maintains a demanding daily schedule without any restrictions.”

The physician said the President “demonstrates strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurologic and physical performance.”

While White House press secretary Carolyn Leavitt earlier Friday called Trump’s physical a “routine annual checkup,” Trump’s last physical was in April. At that appointment, Barbella wrote in a three-page summary of the examination that Trump was “fully fit” to serve.

Trump had another appointment in July, at which Barbabella said the President had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, “a benign and common condition, especially in individuals over the age of 70.”

“In addition, recent photographs of the President show minor bruising on the back of his hand,” Barbabella wrote. “This is consistent with minor irritation to soft tissue from frequent handshakes and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard heart prevention regimen.” This is a well-known and benign side effect of aspirin therapy.”

Trump was photographed this summer with makeup covering visible bruising on his hands.

Despite the diagnosis, Barbella wrote in a July memo that Trump “remains in excellent health.”
