Virginia Lieutenant Governor candidate and State Sen Ghazla Hashmi (D) on Monday highlighted his first advertisement of the general election as a mohtar and experience as a teacher.
Advertisement, Teacher teacherThere is a part of a six-day advertising purchase that is airing in media markets in the Commonwealth.
“Ghazla fought for people like me, expanding apprenticeship and technical training,” a worker said, painted in 30-second AD. “So we can get good paid jobs, whether you go to college or not.”
Hashmi is running for a lieutenant governor for former Conservative Talk Show host John Reid. Most of the elections suggest that Hashmi is ahead of Reid. APoll releasedEarlier this month by Virginia Commonwealth University, Hashmi showed Reid with four points.
The release of the advertisement comes when the Democratic ticket of Virginia has been rock by the text messages sent by the party’s Attorney General Nominee J Jones in 2022, talking about the violence directed by Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert (R).
Hashmi and Democratic Gubaranetorial Nominee Abigail Spanborgers were in a hurry to condemn the text messages after his release on Friday.
Hashmi said, “I am very clear that political violence has no place in our country, and I condemn it at every turn.” “Jai should take accountability for pain due to his words. We should make better demand for our leaders and each other.”
The coverage on the texts has quickly turned into a national story with President Trump and Vice President JD Vance to call Jones out of the race.
Jones has not indicated that he will end his campaign, but has since apologized to the texts.
Jones told WRIC, “I am deeply sorry for what I said and I want it not done and if I take it back then I will take it back,” Jones told Wric, which is owned by the Hill’s original company Nexstar Media Group.
