12-year-old boy arrested, accused of reckless driving while riding his bicycle

Charlotte, NC (Wjzy)-A 12-year-old mother in the native Carolina says that the police stabbed her son after handcuffs and took her to jail.

The boy was accused of careless driving while riding his bicycle in the last weekend in Charlot.

On Sunday, a stranger of Prince Arwin recorded a video behind a CMPD car. The video shows what the people interrogating the authorities were doing.

“What crime did he commit?” A man asked.

“Careless driving,” an officer replied.

“Driving careless on a bicycle,” said the man. “Did he hit a car?”

“The car does not need to hit a hit,” the official said.

Prince’s mother, Jasmine Erwin, says she raised her son in jail after a nervous call from a friend.

Jasmine Erwin said, “Nervous, painful: is how he feels.” “she should not [feel that],

Prince says he was riding his bike with a group of over 50 people of all ages.

He saw a police car for some blocks. Prince says Roshni flipped, and a chase began.

“He hit behind my friend’s bike,” Prince said. “He originally tried to kill him by bike. I was not going there, so he could do the same with me.”

Once alone, Prince said that the authorities caught him when he blew a tire.

“When I was putting my hands behind my back, I was on the ground, so when they were picking me up, they were still molesting me,” Prince said.

Jasmine Erwin says Anubhav has taken away the innocence of her child.

“You want to feel safe and preserved,” he said. “This big man is following you with a car and you are a little boy on a bike. What do you think he is going to do for you if he already kills a friend of yours?”

The information of the case is limited because Prince is a minor, but the Charlotte-Meclanberg Police issued a statement:

The officials worked to ensure the safety of the person seen in the video based on the circumstances of that time. The central division of the department responds to the reports of persons riding a bicycle regularly who threatens themselves or others on the roadways of the city.

The arrest comes three years after the city’s breakdown of the city, some of which were accused of playing chicken with traffic and sometimes using violence against drivers.

Prince and his mother say that Sunday’s incident was not related to any “gang”, and he was out for just a ride.

Prince has not withdrawn his bike, but in a remarkable task of kindness, the person who filed an arrest bought a new one.

Both Erwin and his son are grateful.

“He is a child,” Jasmine Erwin said. “He is a small black boy. He is mine, and he is someone, and that’s what I want these people know. They are not going to do this to my son, because it is not right. He is not an animal.”

CMPD says that the case is an active investigation. Erwin says that he spoke with the Department of Internal Affairs of CMPD on Thursday.
