Austin – Andrew White, son of former Texas Governor Mark White, has announced his intention to search for the office of Texas Governor.
In a press release, White, 54, stated that he aims to run as an “independent democrat”, which can unite the progressives, moderates and independents.

White, an entrepreneur for 30 years and a one -time candidate for the Governor of Texas in 2018, wants to portray himself as a liberal and independent candidate, who removes himself from the culture wars and biased extremities.

During his time as Houston entrepreneur, White established and sold four separate businesses dealt with in residential services, border security and clean technology. He has also received a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas.
White will face at least three other candidates in the next year’s Democratic Primary Election, including retired fire fighters Bobby Cole, former Marine Nick Pappas and Bay City Councilman Benjamin Flores. Abbott has already announced that it will run for reunion.
