The undercard for the 14 November exhibition boxing match between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis at Miami’s Kesya Center has been revealed, with both men and women’s championship quarrels, most valuable promotion representatives told ESPN on Tuesday.
The program will be streamful globally on Netflix.
Alicia Bomguardner (16–1, 7 KO) will defend its WBA, WBO and IBF Women Junior Lightweight title against Leela Badine (13–1, 2 KO) in a co-main program. This battle will be fought under men’s championship battle rules with 12, three minutes round.
“Stability is one that keeps me sharp and makes me dangerous,” Bomguardner said in a statement to ESPN. “12X3: 00 fighting represents equality. Equality in boxing means giving the champion a platform to show its greatness. I am here to show the world to show the world that I am designed for anything else. And yet!”
Bomguardner recently abandoned his WBC title, opposing WBC President Maurisio Suleman for women’s boxing for boxing. A similar situation happened with Amanda Serano when she vacated her WBC Fatherweight title in protest against the refusal of the body approved to approve her request for a 12 -round, three -minute title.
“Like Amanda Serano and many other great champions in front of me, I believe that women must have the option to compete under the same rules as men, 12 rounds, per round, three minutes,” Bomguardner said. “I have chosen to move forward in my career under those terms. My next championship will be under those rules, and since WBC currently does not allow women to fight under those conditions, I have taken a difficult decision to vacate my WBC title.
“I respect the WBC and thank the WBC that he thanked me for all the support given during his career. His becoming a champion was a career honor, and I am again ready for a day fight for the WBC belt.”
Even on the card, Gary Antuan Russell (18–1, 17 KO) will defend his WBA Junior Welterweight Championship against compulsory challenger Andy Hiroka (24-0, 19 KO). Russell will protect his first title by defeating Jose Wallenzuela for the title in March. Fighting out of Japan, Hiroca last fought in 2024 sept when he stopped Ismail Barroso in the 9th round.
“Gary Russell is a great champion, but I am coming to Miami to win my belt and become the next world champion of Japan,” Hiroca said.
The initial card will be faced by the WBA Champion Meyley Flores (13-1-1, 4 KO) to determine the undisputed champion of the division by Unified Women Junior Banomweight Champion Elli Scotni (11–0). The 27 -year -old Scotney will be Britain’s youngest boxer, men or female, who ever fought for an undisputed world title.
“Belt by belt, I have earned it hard,” Scotney said. “Unquestionally the goal has always been, and now thanks to MVP we are at the last and most important step. On Friday 14 November I will make history as Britain, which is undisputed world champion.”
Apart from this, the initial card will have WBC Women Strawt Champion Yocusta Valle (33-3, 10 KO), who will put their title on the line against Yedira Basilos (11–1, 2 KOS) in the 10-round match. Avious Griffin (17–1, 16 kos) will bounce back from its first professional loss, when he faces Caesar Francis (14–2, 9 kos) in the 8 round welterweight battle.
Paul vs. Davis will have a 10-round, three-minute exhibition in a 195-pound catchweight. The fighters will wear 12-ounce gloves. Although the results will not affect their professional boxing records, three judges RingSide will determine a winner if the fight goes at a distance.
