The SEC has been set to release its new nine-game schedule for 2026 on Tuesday, with traditionally how the schedule works, it will have an overhaul.
The biggest mystery hovering over the new nine-game schedule, which will be formally released on ET (TV: SEC Network/ESPN2) at 7 pm, is the three annual opponents for the next four sessions.
Annual opponents are balanced by teams that play the role of each league rival every two years, crying far away from the old divisional play of SEC when the teams can go six seasons without playing each other.
Annual opponents, sources told ESPN, they are:
, Alabama, Obern, Tennessee, Mississippi State
, Arkansas, LSU, Texas, Missouri
, Golden brown color, Alabama, Georgia, Vanderbult
, Georgia, Obern, Florida, South Carolina
, Florida, Georgia, Kentaki, South Carolina
, Kentki, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee
, Agitation, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Arkansas
, Mississippi state, Alabama, Ole Miss, Vanderbult
, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M
, Oklahoma, Missouri, Ole Miss, Texas
, Ole miss, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma
, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Kentki
, Tenasi, Alabama, Kentki, Vanderbult
, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M
, Texas A&M, LSU, Missouri, Texas
, Venderbilat, Obern, Mississippi State, Tennessee
SEC officials designed the slate by honoring the traditional long rivals-as the Georgia-Florida-and attempted to balance the best schedule as much as possible.
The general format of the new schedule includes nine league games – three annual opponents, six anti -rotating and an annual power conference/Notre Dame rival. With each league team playing within a interval of two years, the SEC teams will visit every place in a gap of four years.
Records’ formula SEC is used to calculate how slot teams came from a joint league record during the last four years. For example, Ole Miss, the time limit was fourth in 16 SEC teams and Obern was 14th. Oklahoma and Texas did more than Big 12 to three sessions for the purposes of data.
The schedule is being built with a clean slate for the next four years, which means that may be hiccups, such as repeat games from the previous season. Some matchups can also be attributed to unbalanced schedule – five homes and four road games or vice versa. For 2026, teams were preferred to balance because if they were a power conference game on the road, they would be more likely to get five domestic games.
