Google revamps Discover page to show content from creators

Google announced on Wednesday that it is updating the Discover page in its flagship search app so that you can follow specific publishers and creators, so that you can take more materials from those people to the surface.

The update is rolled out in the update last month, making users choose their choice News sites and blogs for the section of top stories in search results.

In the coming weeks, Google says that people will also start watching various types of materials on the Discover, including articles, YouTube shorts and posts from X and Instagram, which are from creators and publishers on the web. Moving forward, Google will add more types of sources to this mixture, it said.

With these tricks, Google is trying to give users more control over its content, while also expanding its discover page to include a variety of sources.

It is not clear what the criteria of Google are for manufacturer material to show on the search page, though. (A question about this was not provided before publication.)

To use the feature, when you see the material from a particular publisher or manufacturer, you can tap their name to see all their content on one page and choose to follow them. Google said it would show more materials than the sources you follow.
