Tom Brady did not violate any NFL rules wearing headset Las vegas reders‘Coaching booths during Monday night’s game.
NFL said in a statement on Tuesday that a broadcaster for Brady, a minority owner with reders and a broadcaster, “is banned from going to a team facility for practices or production meetings.” But the former Star Quarterback is allowed to sit in the booth of the coach according to the league.
“There are no policies that prevent a owner from sitting in a coach booth or wearing a headset during a game,” NFL spokesman Brian Macarthi said in a statement. “Brady was sitting in the booth in his ability as a limited partner.
“All personnel sitting in the booth should follow the policies that restrict the use of electronic devices other than a microsoft surface tablet to see league-made devices such as sideline.”
The telecast showed Braddy in the booth of the reders wearing a headset during the first quarter of the reders. Los angeles chargers,
Reders coach Pete Carol said on Tuesday that Brady “is not planning a game with us.”
“He is not talking about anything other than our conversation that we have which are really random,” Carol said. “They are not installed. They are not structured in any way. He knows – he is very respectful about what he does, otherwise. He is of the opinion that he does not want to be that kind of factor, so he is not.”
After his 23 -year play career, Brady made his Fox debut in the last season on a contract of 10 years, $ 375 million, which he originally agreed in 2022. But the boundaries on Brady were placed due to their agreement to become a partial owner of raids, a deal that was approved by the league owners in October.
As a broadcaster, he gains access to players and coaches from other teams that other owners, raising concerns about the conflict of interest.
NFL recently relaxed some of its sanctions for Brady in the role in which he was allowed to attend production meetings – when a broadcast crew meets the head coach and leading players of that game – this season. They should participate in those meetings remotely, and they are not allowed to participate in practices in team features.
“Tom continues to prevent Tom from going to the team’s convenience for practices or production meetings,” Macarthi said in her statement on Tuesday. “He can participate in a remote production meetings, but cannot join the person in the team’s convenience or hotel. He can also do an interview site with a player as he did a couple of times last year, including a super bowl. Of course, with any production meeting with broadcast teams, it is to determine what clubs, coaches or players say what they say in those sessions.”
Carroll and first -time general manager John Sitech, who were inside Tampa bay bouquaneers‘Front Office when the seven -time super bowl champion was his initial quarterback, consulted the roster’s decision with Brady during offsen. Spitech told ESPN in April that Brady’s voice had been “invaluable”.
First year reders aggressive coordinator Chip Kelly also told ESPN that he speaks two to three times per week with future hall of fames, undergoing a film and game plan for the week.
But Carol said on Monday that the report about Brady and Kelly is speaking several times about the sports plan “Not right.”
“We have a conversation,” Carol said after Monday night’s game. “I talk to Tom, the chip regularly talks to Tom. We have a tremendous property. And we all meet and respect each other. We just talk about life and football. He has very insight, so we are lucky to find him as a owner.”
Brady has been slated to call the week 3 Dallas Cowboys,Chicago beer game. Reders play beer next week.
