Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Wednesday signed a book for conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, when fellow right -wing media figure Charlie Kirk was shot dead in the first speech program.
“Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute are saddened to hear about the events at Utah Valley University today. Our prayers are with Charlie Kirk’s family and friends. As a mark of honor, we are signing our program and book with Ben Shapiro this evening,”
The statement said that a new date for the incident will be declared “soon”.
Orthodox media, Shapiro and Kirk had two major figures overlapping circles.
Shapiro mourned the co-founder of the turning point USA in a post on the social platform X, saying that “he is completely shocked and heartbroken for my soul after Kirk’s death in a Utah College campus”.
He recalled the meeting with Kirk, who died 31 years old when he was just 18 years old.
Shapiro said that he remembers Kirk “A young man was so curious and determined that I immediately turned to a friend and said,” That child is going to be the head of RNC one day. “
“Charlie became even larger and even more important,” Shapiro continued. “This was a privilege for this princely person to stand for his beliefs and create a single most important conservative political organization in the US. Kirk died while speaking at Utah Valley University. He hit the neck with a gun bullet and died shortly after.
FBI Announced On Wednesday evening, a person of interest is in custody.
Trump announced Kirk’s death on social media and ordered the flag to be reduced to half staff through Sunday.
