Cuomo on possible Trump involvement in NYC: 'I don’t want him involved in anything to do with my race'

New York City Mayor candidate Andrew Quomo said that he does not want to include President Trump in the mayor’s race, which he is demanding to clean the area for the former governor.

Kuoom said during one Press conference On Thursday, he does not know that New York Times Report Trump’s advisors have offered a job to current Mayor Eric Adams in administration, which is accurate to get out of the race, and he has neither talked about it with Trump nor with Adams. The report said that the administration has also discussed the same proposal to Republican Nominee Curtis Sliva, which aims to give the best opportunity to defeat Zoharan Mamdani in November.

Cuomo said that he did not ask for support of Trump and would not even accept it.

Cumo said, “I don’t want him to do anything with my race,”, he said whether Edams or Sliva choose to continue in the race.

An adams spokesperson told The Times that the Mayor had not talked about serving with the President in a position in administration, while Sliva issued a statement saying that he was not in contact with the White House and would not accept a post, saying that he is focused on New York City.

In recent weeks, the pressure has increased to protest against Mamdani, Democratic Nominee, which is behind the same candidate. Mamdani critics are worried that the anti -Mamdani vote may be divided among other candidates and allowed the Democratic Socialist to win.

Independent Jim Walden, who initially called on the candidates to withdraw, whoever seems to be the strongest against Mamdani, dropped out This week’s race to avoid adding to a possible partition vote. But Walden was only scoring some percentage points of support in elections, keeping their impact minimal.

If a candidate such as Adams or Sliva was to leave, it can affect the race more significantly, although Mamdani would possibly be a favorite in a heavy democratic city.

Cuomo said they do not know what Trump or Adams are doing, but “this is no one in my business.” He said that Mamdani is worried about one-one race with him as he currently does not have the support of most new Yorkers.

Pol has shown Mammadani with a stable lead on other candidates, but usually with less than 50 percent support.

Mamdani responded to Times report on Wednesday Accused Trump, Kuomo and Adams tried to “plan behind closed doors”.

Kuomo said that if other candidates all agree that Mamdani is a “existential threat”, they should “postpone” the strongest candidate against him. He said that his own history with Trump is “Crystal clear” and he fought Trump when he was a governor.

“I think every new yorker knows that Donald toe with Trump, I serve New York well,” he said.
