For the first time, NFL will carry forward the achievements of some top artists of football from last season. From 2024, five Associated Press Awards winning players will wear a “Gold Shield” patch inspired by NFL Honors logo instead of the traditional NFL Shield match.

The Gold Shield Patch 2025 will be on five jerseys for regular season and fullness of the playoffs, which will begin with the Eagles and on Thursday night’s season opener. Dallas Cowboys (8:20 pm, NBC).
