Police arrested a guy for good reason — media baffled

Who knew? What you feel is right, which is really true for poor journalism.

A handful of journalists and pundits were angered this week, when the law enforcement officers were shown in the country’s capital after the footage emerged, arresting a Hispanic person, who tried to run on foot during the traffic stop.

The initial bizarre response is comic, in a makabre way, we have the opposite between what we have been told about the man and what we know about the law enforcement officers.

“Breaking,” NBC News Washington, DC, affiliated reporter tweetedAmy Cho“Police and federal agents saw a man in custody at the national mall. He appeared to try to escape, then was quickly dealt with by many agents on the ground and was shouting in Spanish, ‘Please, I am not a criminal, I work here, I want to live with my family!”

His braking news tweet included exclusive footage of the incident, which everyone would use as a reference point in response to the arrest later.

According to the arrested person, David Perez-Tefani, according to federal officials, we have illegally entered the US three times. When he was arrested this week, he was defying the “final order to remove” after returning to Mexico twice.

According to the records of the Fairfax County Juvenile and the District Court of Domestic Relations, Perez-Tiopony was charged in 2024 with “indecent freedom with a child under 15 years of age”.New York Post,

These and similar details add a lot of references. But he had already prepared the incident as this incident only after selected journalists and pundits, where federal and law enforcement officials worked with the same cruelty as the behavior that makes German guestopos notorious.

“His cry [hits] I am in the intestine, “Miami Herald Investigative Reporter saidOf Julie. BrownIn response to the online video of Perez-Tapani’s arrest. “And we will probably never be told who he was, why he was stopped, or if he was illegally here.”

Fox NewsGenerous heelJessica Tarlov wrote in a tweet since a tweet, “It does not make DC safe. It will not just come to DC to people. Cruelty is always a point.”

“New Normal,” Politico Senior Legal Affairs ReporterJosh GersteinDrought was pinned.

Is there no justice in this world? Will no one think about tampering with an illegal immigrant with a final order to remove the alleged child against him?

Then, of course, NBC News is a related reporter, who first shared footage of the arrest of Perez-Topani. About five hours after his initial social media post, shared and tweeted again by thousands of social media users, ChoAn update tweetedThis included the description of the man’s name and his 2024 arrest for “13. 13.” for a minor.

This reminds how quickly false impressions and reference stories can spread before giving a chance to catch the facts. As this writing, more than 6.2 million people have seen footage of Cho’s Parade-Tiophani’s arrest. More than 6 percent of that number has seen his follow -up posts, once again displayed that the sequel to a viral claim rarely, if ever, is the same, as is the same, as is claimed.

Later, after more information about the arrest of Perez-Tapani, an outrage Tarlov said on Twitter users, “I never wanted to deliberately promote wrong information, so I removed the original tweet after I came out of DHS Memo-which was a few hours after the arrest.”

Well, this is something. But here is a better idea: perhaps do not jump to conclusion in response to braking news or viral video. Perhaps not to assume that law enforcement is evil and its purpose is a cruel treatment of random people – which Tarlov clearly did in its initial response to footage of Cho.

Such crowds for decisions, difficult facts or explanatory references, are part of a pattern in news and comment business, who are working with those who feel or think what exactly should be true instead of finding out what it is. “To check very well” is as a professional warning, not lifestyle choice.

We see it everywhere in the news media. We see it weekly in the report Israel and GazaWe saw it in 2019 when the press was strangely excited about the possibility that A Teenager An elderly original American veteran worked in a racist and derogatory manner.

We also saw this style of behavior of nearly three years, which was rapidly running with the Absurd-in-Retrospect news cycle, suggested that President Trump was a secret agent of Kremlin. (On a side note, I am surprised that anyone believes in Trump, one of all people, may join the spikeraft, which is famously neededSubtletyAndDiscretion,

Walls are closing! “Trump Craze,” he is “unwelling”, he is “flying”, he is “isolated,” and this is “the end”“For him! Any verified or certified information was not necessary for real journalists to make such comments at any time.

This is a radical perception, but perhaps we should make a habit of waiting for more facts before taking Snap decision. Bold prophecies and reflective, emotional reactions make for inferior journalism.
