Former Defense Secretary Leon Peneta weighed FBI raid John Bolton, former National Security Advisor of President Trump, suggested Friday night that “some goals are going here.”
“We do not know all the facts here because we do not know what the Department of Justice said to receive a warrant from a magistrate judge,” Paneta said during his appearance on CNN’s “Erin Burnette Outfront”.
“But when you stand back and you see the criticism that John Bolton has done and you see the President and how sensitive to those criticisms, especially from someone who was in his administration, it is very difficult to conclude that some goals are happening here,” Paneta told Host Erin Bernett.
Bolton’s Bethesda, MD., Home Raid Friday morning. Agents also raided their Washington, DC, office. The former ambassador, a vocal critic of Trump, was not taken into custody and was not accused of any crime.
The search belonged to classified materials. The former National Security Advisor was first investigated on his memoir about his time in the Trump administration, the President and his colleagues said that Bolton revealed the classified information. The investigation was demolished in 2021 during the administration of former President Biden.
Vice -president Said The raid was not vengerated for Bolton’s rapid criticism of Trump’s administration.
Trump said he was not given an advance notice of the raid, but Bolton was criticized as “Lolife”, which could be “very incompatible”.
“He is not a smart man. But he can be a very inconsistent man. We are going to find out. I don’t know anything about it. I saw it this morning, he conducted a raid,” the President said. Said Friday morning.
