Nick Kyrgios withdraws from US Open, will miss another major

New York – Nick Kygios On Thursday, withdrew from the US Open, the third straight year missed the final Grand Slam tournament of the Australian season.

Kyrgios has struggled with injuries in recent years and had recalled most of the 2023 and 2024 seasons before trying to return this year.

After the wrist and knee surgery, he came back to play in the Australian Open, but lost in the first round. This was his first presence in any major tournament since the 2022 US Open.

Kyrgios performed her best at a Grand Slam event, just before that, losing Novak jokovich Wimbledon in the final.

Once finished 13th, he has played in just five singles matches on ATP tour this season, no one since Miami in March.

He will be replaced by a player in the tournament who loses in the final stages of qualifying.
