This is a pause on the regular season. All 31 automated bids have been decided. This will be followed by the selection show on Sunday at 6pm ET on ESPN, where the other 33 at-large teams along with the seedings will be revealed.
Volleyball seeds the top eight teams in each region and the top four serve as hosts for the first and second rounds. The remaining brackets have been filled to balance competition and geography. The highest remaining seeds also host regionals, and the 2025 Final Four will take place in Kansas City, Missouri on December 18, with the finals taking place on December 21.

Pittsburgh’s win over Louisville, although much closer than a sweep, was still enough to push the Panthers over the top line as the final No. 1 seed. The other three top seeds – Nebraska, Kentucky and Texas – should be easy for the committee. The biggest discussion and decision-making process will likely center on which teams are the No. 2 seeds and which teams line up at No. 3. That group includes teams like Arizona State, Stanford, Louisville, Creighton, SMU, Wisconsin and Texas A&M whose resumes are very close; It will not be easy to differentiate between them.
It will also take some time to decide the final venues for the rights to host the first and second rounds. Miami and USC appear to have locked into the top 16 with good finishes in the regular season. Indiana slipped a bit down the stretch. The Hoosiers can maintain their spot in the top 16.

The biggest change in the bubble over the final weekend of the season was Arizona leaving the field with two wins. The Wildcats defeated Cincinnati in four sets on Saturday in a match that essentially became a play-in game. The Bearcats’ two losses in the last three days were back-breaking. Oregon picked up two wins, but defeating Rutgers and Maryland was not enough to lift the Ducks, who lacked a significant non-conference win and did not play South Florida’s non-conference schedule.
