New washington wizards star trey young Coach Brian Keefe said Wednesday that he is still recovering from MCL and quad injuries to his right foot and will be reevaluated after the All-Star break in mid-February.
The Wizards are taking a cautious approach due to injuries to their new business acquisition.

An All-NBA selection in 2021-22, Young has career averages of 25.2 points and 9.8 assists. He led the league with 11.6 assists last season.
He has averaged at least 25 points and 10 assists twice (2022-23, 2023-24), which is equal to Russell Westbrook for the second most such seasons in NBA history (followed by Oscar Robertson with five). Young has scored or assisted 48.1 points per game in his career, the second most ever luka doncic (48.9).
The Wizards have lost three in a row to fall to 10-28 and are in 14th place in the Eastern Conference standings. Washington has not made the playoffs since losing in the first round in the 2020–21 season.
