Why be concerned about radon?

Radon is an odorless, invisible radioactive gas. It occurs naturally in rocks, soil, and water—and it can become trapped inside homes, offices, or schools. There is no known safe level of radon. Unlike carbon monoxide poisoning, there are no symptoms associated with radon exposure.
