Documents provided by a whistleblower reveal that Ghislaine Maxwell has asked President Trump to commute her sentence after prison staff suggest she has received “concierge-style treatment” in a new facility, where she is being given access to custom meals and staff amenities.
The request, made before House Judiciary Democrats, comes after Maxwell was transferred to a lower-security prison sat for questions for two days with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche amid growing scrutiny of Trump’s ties to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The documents also reveal that Maxwell received unusual privileges within the prison system, as he was transferred from a maximum-security facility in Tallahassee, Florida, with a Bureau of Prisons employee complaining that they were “fed up with being Maxwell’s husband.”
The documents include an October 5 email sent from Maxwell to one of her lawyers stating she was organizing a “commutation application”.
The panel’s top Democrat, Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD), said the emails show that “either Ms. Maxwell is requesting you release her from a 20-year prison sentence for her role as a co-conspirator in Jeffrey Epstein’s international child sex trafficking ring, or that this child sexual predator now wields such tremendous influence in the second Trump Administration that you and your DOJ will follow her clemency recommendations.”
Maxwell was sentenced in 2021 on child sex trafficking charges, while her close associate Epstein killed himself in 2019 while awaiting trial on related charges.
Maxwell has maintained her innocence and made it clear that she would seek a pardon from Trump, which many GOP voices have advised against. While congressional committees have sought Maxwell’s testimony, she has said she will not appear without a pardon or immunity agreement.
Also, she agreed to talk to Blanche, although Democrats have expressed outrage over her subsequent prison transfer.

They have also since released evidence of something Trump has denied – showing the birthday note The president wrote to Epstein that the two men “have some things in common.”
“What information is Ms. Maxwell agreeing to suppress in order to receive such extremely favorable treatment as a federal prisoner and convicted sex offender?” Raskin wrote in a letter to Trump on Sunday, reviewed by The Hill.
The information provided to the committee alleges a series of remarkable steps were taken to accommodate Maxwell after she was quietly transferred to a medium-security facility in Texas shortly after meeting with Blanche.
According to the documents, Maxwell has been receiving customized meals that have been personally delivered to her cell.
They also describe unusual treatment of their guests, with the Democrats insisting on the creation of “a special cordoned-off area for the arrival of visitors, as well as a series of breakfasts and refreshments for their guests”. Their guests are also allowed to bring computers, which is not normally allowed for visitors.
Maxwell was also taken by escorts to the prison gym outside normal hours, allowing her to exercise alone. Democrats allege that they were “only allowed to enjoy recreation time in staffed areas.”
An inmate who trains service dogs was also instructed to give Maxwell time with one of the puppies, even though dogs are not supposed to be pet during training.
And finally, information given to the panel revealed that Maxwell would have “emailed documents directly to the warden” of the federal prison camp, Bryan, allowing Maxwell to bypass the paper mail system. Raskin accused Warden Tanisha Hall of directly helping Ms Maxwell copy, print and send documents related to her commutation request.
Raskin wrote, “This top-flight luxury service has reached such a point of absurdity that one of the prison’s top officials complained that he was ‘bored with being Maxwell’s b—–.'”
“You should not grant this convicted and unrepentant sex offender any clemency. Your administration should not provide her with room service, puppies to play with, federal law enforcement officers waiting at her every need, or any special treatment or institutional privileges. It is undisputed that the order to treat Ms. Maxwell as a respected guest rather than a federal prisoner came from the highest level.”
The letter demands testimony from Blanch, but it is unlikely she will be forced to appear without pressure from Republicans on the panel.
The White House, the Bureau of Prisons and Maxwell’s attorney all did not respond to requests for comment.
Supreme Court last monthrefused to takeMaxwell’s appeal of his conviction.
Meanwhile, there has been some bipartisan pressure in Congress to reveal more about the Epstein saga.
The House Oversight Committee has made several statements related to the case and reviewed some documents shared by the Justice Department.
Democrats and some Republican lawmakers have also pushed for a discharge petition demanding the Justice Department release all documents related to the Epstein files.
However, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) refused to sit Newly elected Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.), leaving the group one vote short of the total needed for a vote on the matter.
