Vikings’ Justin Jefferson strains hamstring, will miss time

Egan, Min. , Minnesota Vikings Receiver Justin Jefferson Coach Kevin O’Conel said on Friday that a stressful left hamstring would be remembered for some time during the training camp.

Jefferson excluded himself from Thursday’s practice, with about one third of the session left. He later stated that he had focused on “tightness” on both legs and did not want to risk further damage by citing his experience torn with the cost of seven games during the 2023 season. Vikings sent him to an MRI after practice, and the test revealed what O’Conel called “very light” stress. O’Conel said that the team would evaluate Jefferson next week.

“The best thing is that we avoid anything serious,” O’Conel said. “I don’t worry about it [Week 1] And there is no concern that we will be able to prepare Justin to go for a regular season. ,

Jefferson first attended almost all offsen programs of Vikings in his career, at the behest of O’Conel, to help in building chemistry with New Quarterback. JJ McCarthi,

“I think they have already developed a synergy,” O’Conel said. “I have no concern about it whether there is a overall effect or impact on that dynamic or with our crime.”

O’Conel said that Jefferson was not going to participate in the Vikings Games, regardless of their health, O’Conel said.

Speaking on Thursday after the practice, Jefferson said: “With recent injuries and luggage that I had already passed, just to take care and understand that this is the second day of the camp – not thirty. Not. Just making sure that I am completely healthy and I am good to go, especially when the weather starts.”
