MBoko is ranked 85th in the world, looking for its first WTA tour title and trying to join Fay Urban (1969) and Bianka Andresku (2019) As the only Canadian to win a home event in the open era.

“I knew she was a difficult rival,” said Rabkina. “He served really well in these important moments. It was a very close match like a big battle. So it could go in any way, but it went to him.”
MBoko beaten 11 double-faults and fought through a wrist injury after stunning the ground in the second game of the third set. She will go at least 34th in the world after starting the year outside the top 300.
MBoko said his wrist felt “much better” after the match, but in the moment, the fall almost crushed his souls.
“She was really playing great tennis over her, but I am happy that I retained my work,” MBoko said. “I was patient in the right moments. I really feel happy that I was able to bounce back after being down, even a match point, I think.”
Osaka, four -time Grand Slam Champion, who reached the world number 1 in the world, continued his best in the WTA 1000 tournament since he reached the Miami final in 2022. He has been his eighth title and its first demand since the 2021 Australian Open.
