Sen Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) met near Kilmar Abrego Garcia on Sunday, who was accidentally deported, but returned to the US, and vowed to continue the fight to protect a resident of Maryland.

Van Holen said in a statement, “I got an opportunity to talk with Kilmar Obrego Garcia this morning and welcomed him in Maryland after a long and tortured nightmare.
“During our conversation, I shared with him that I and many others were fighting for months to ensure that his constitutional fixed procedure rights were respected despite Trump’s efforts to reject him at every turn,” he continued.
