A US Navy submarine sank an Iranian warship in international waters, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Wednesday, the first sinking of an adversary’s ship since World War II. “An American submarine sank an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters,” Hegseth said during a Wednesday morning briefing at the Pentagon.
