Washington (Newsination) – Secretary of Defense Peat hegseth A new instruction was issued to fast-track the US drone production and “cut red tape”, announced in a video posted on social media.
A new Pentagon memorandum outlined the need to maintain synergy to the US Army as global military drones have recently touched the sky, and the war between Russia and Ukraine has revealed the increasing importance of using more drones for modern war.
Hegseth announced a major overhaul in the US military drone policy in a social media video, where he can be seen by operating drones. Hegseth said that the Pentagon is cutting “red tape” and accelerating production. He also said that he wants service members from all the army branches to be trained in drone operations.
“We were brought here to rebuild the army and match capabilities for today’s threats,” Hegseth said. “So when our opponents have produced millions of cheap drones in front of us, we were in bureaucracy red tape, not anymore.”
In June, about one -third of Moscow’s strategic bombing fleet was destroyed or damaged with a cheap drone, which was stripped into the Russian region. Ukrainian officials say that secret operation took only a few hours.
Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski said that the operation used 117 drones to attack four military aerial areas, resulting in a severe loss or destruction of 34% of Russia’s fleeting fleet of 34% of Russia’s aerial missile carriers.
