Uber and Lyft will begin testing Baidu’s Apollo Go robotaxis in London in 2026, with Waymo and local startup Wave joining the companies that will have autonomous vehicles in the city next year.
Lyft CEO David Risher said in a post on X that Lyft will begin testing as soon as it receives local regulatory approval. His company plans to “scalp to hundreds” of Baidu’s electric RT6 SUVs from there, though he did not give a timeline for a commercial launch.
