United States of America Women’s national team great Crystal Dunn on Thursday announced her retirement from football at the age of 33.
This shocking news came through a post on his Instagram account. In it she said that she wants to spend more time with her husband Pierre Saubrier and 3-year-old son Marcel.
Dunn said, “This decision has not come easily, but I am at peace and I am completely satisfied with what I have accomplished.”
“I have achieved almost everything I dreamed of in this sport and given everything I had to give.”
“I am ready to embrace the life that is waiting for me on the other side. I look forward to spending more time with my family and being a more present mother. This was not a decision taken lightly, but one made with great gratitude for everything I have experienced as a professional football player.”

“His enthusiastic personality, unselfishness towards his team and a tendency to dance to a tune have always endeared him to his teammates and coaches at club and country,” US Soccer said in a statement.
