Trump sitting for '60 Minutes' interview

President Trump sat down Friday for an interview with CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell, which will air Sunday on “60 Minutes.”

The interview, which took place at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, will air Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Trump interviews network for the first time since his resignation CBS sued and its parent company Paramount Global discussed an interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris on “60 Minutes.” Trump claimed the network deliberately edited his answer to a question on the war in Gaza to make his point more coherent. The network rejected that premise in court documents and public statements.

In July, Paramount Global Agreed To pay $16 million, which would be paid to a future presidential library, not to Trump himself.

As part of the agreement, Paramount said that “60 Minutes” would release transcripts of future interviews with eligible U.S. presidential candidates after they air, subject to redactions required for legal or national security concerns.

The agreement did not include an apology or statement of regret.

CBS has faced a tumultuous period in recent months after its merger with Skydance required approval from Trump-appointed officials at the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
