President Trump ordered the Interior Department to see the increase in revenue in national parks by increasing the entry fee for foreign tourists.
Tusrap Put signature on An executive order on Thursday with a “strategy” to develop a “strategy” to develop a “strategy” to develop a “strategy” to promote revenue and improve recreational experiences in national parks across the country on Thursday with an entry fee and entertainment pass fees for foreign tourists.
the White House Said By raising prices, national parks will become more economical for American families. The order does not explain how much prices will increase or when they will be implemented.
The administration argued that additional revenue “will invest fuel in our national parks, reduce maintenance backlogs, create significant infrastructure improvements and support conservation projects that improve our royal national parks.”
The White House said that the increase in fees for foreigners going to parks will “ensure fairness.”
The White House said, “American Citizen National Parks and public lands fund their tax dollars, yet they are currently charged with the same rate of foreign visitors who do not pay taxes, which means that American citizens pay more to look at their own national treasures than foreign visitors.”
The executive order comes as the administration has proposed a 30 percent cut for the National Park Service Staffing Budget and Service Operations. The proposed deduction has disturbed some Republicans in the Congress.
“We want to discuss something on it and in fact how this park is going to affect the service and what units are actually going to manage. … We need more information,” Rape Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) told The hill in the beginning of June.
