Yildiz looked like an experienced senior player since breaking into the Juventus XI last season. And his most memorable moment came in the Derby d’Italia a year ago when he was introduced after the break against Inter Milan and completely changed the momentum of the game, sparking two spectacular strikes in the second half to seal an eventual 4–4 draw.
He generally prefers to play in a flexible position behind the striker – although he can also perform as a “false number 9” – and his favorite area to receive the ball is on the left, before moving inside with explosive pace for a shot or pass.
Apart from picking smart spots in and around the attacking box, Yildiz is equally good with both feet, which makes him unpredictable as he can take on defenders on either side with intensity.
When in possession, is difficult to upset, brings great variety, and is creative – in fact, last season he recorded 2.1 chances and 2.3 shots (0.9 on target) per 90 minutes in Serie A.
