Suing the past: Climate lawfare takes aim at World War II contracts


The U.S. Supreme Court on Jan. 12 will hear a climate law case involving oil extraction by private companies during World War II that resulted in a near $1 billion verdict in Louisiana, highlighting the importance of neutral forums and the threat of unscrupulous trial lawyers to public-private partnerships.
