A Greek court on Thursday sentenced the founder of spyware makers group Intelexa to eight years in prison for illegal wiretapping and privacy violations. According To many reports.

The Greek government was accused of wiretapping the phones of politicians, journalists, businessmen and military officers with spyware developed by Intelexa.
Others sentenced today include Dillion’s business partner Sarah Alexandra Faisal Hamou; his former deputy administrator and Intellexa shareholder, Felix Bitzios; and Yiannis Lavranos, who owned a company linked to Intellexa.
Dillion did not respond to TechCrunch’s request for comment.
In 2024, US government approves Intellexa and several of its associated companies, Dillion and Hamou, for their role in developing its spyware, known as Predator, which is used to target Americans, including government officials and journalists.
The court ordered authorities to conduct further investigation and put the sentence on hold pending the appeal.
