Spotify now lets you follow venues to get details on upcoming concerts

Spotify is introducing a new feature that will let users follow venues to get updates and details on concerts happening there.

The venues you follow are saved to your library, and you can browse them to view the events calendar, information and announcements about scheduled concerts. Users can also filter upcoming shows at locations by genre.

The company is also updating Its live event feed Daily instead of weekly to provide latest event updates.

As before, users can tap on an upcoming show to book tickets through the listed ticketing partner. Used with Spotify Will sell tickets himself in 2022But since then there has been no talk about expanding that business. The company currently partners with ticketing platforms like Live Nation and Ticketmaster to sell tickets directly from an artist’s page.

Earlier this year the company had released A new weekly updated playlist called “Concerts Near You” Which lists 30 songs from artists performing around users’ locations, along with details about their next shows.

Spotify’s rivals are also focusing on improving live event discovery on their platforms. In February, SoundCloud partnered with Ticketmaster and Live Nation to allow artists List upcoming shows on their pages,
