Rockets selected Whitmore with number 20 picks in the 2023 NBA draft, but had trouble giving talented probability time to play significantly. The deal gives Whitmore, which turned 21 this week, an opportunity for an increased role for a reconstruction Wizards team. Whitmore is a Maryland native, so business also sends her closer to the house.
Rockets worked with Whitmore and his representative at a new house in WME basketball in the last few weeks. Houston officials had several offers at the table for Whitmore, but wanted to see him going somewhere, which gave him a legitimate opportunity to flourish in his career.
Whitmore, a 6 -foot -7 wing, Houston had an average of 10.8 points in two years. According to ESPN Research, in the previous season he scored a fourth best to record 1,000 touch between the players, 0.46 points.
