The new contract, which adds two years to his contract and includes a club option for 2029, guarantees $8.95 million in new money, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Murphy, 68, guided Milwaukee to a major-league-best 97-65 record last season, setting a franchise record for wins.
