Two of the pioneers of women’s MMA will clash later this year, Most Valuable Promotions has announced gina carano Will face former UFC champion Ronda Rousey In Main event of upcoming MMA fight card. The fight card will take place on May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California and will be broadcast on Netflix.
Rousey and Carano, who stepped away from MMA in 2016 and 2009 respectively, are both coming out of retirement for this bout.
Tuesday morning’s announcement sent a stir among athletes across combat sports, as boxers, MMA fighters and even professional wrestlers reacted on social media.
