Ryan Gosling and his longtime partner, Eva Mendes, did something they haven’t done in over 10 years — making an official public appearance together!
That’s right … the famous couple appeared together on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday, as Eva celebrated her 52nd birthday and Ryan was prepping for the release of his upcoming film “Project Hail Mary.”
The actor chatted with Jimmy about the sci-fi film for several minutes before turning the conversation to Eva. Ryan told the audience it was Eva’s birthday and revealed that she was in the building – leading to him asking the crowd to entertain the actress by singing “Happy Birthday”.
Eva was then taken to the studio, where she addressed the crowd – consisting mostly of teachers – telling them how much she loved and appreciated them, while pointing out that they were actually underpaid.
Jimmy then launches into a birthday surprise – which involves the North Bergen High School marching band… and you can watch what happens next.
The last time Ryan and Eva were in the spotlight was in 2013 at the NYC premiere of “The Place Beyond the Pines.” The two have been together since 2011, when they worked together on the sets of the film.
Despite speculation, the couple – who have two children together – have never confirmed their marital status… although Eva once called Ryan her “husband” during a TV interview.
