Rubio slams Macron's plan to recognize Palestinian state

State Secretary Marco Rubio slammed Emmanuel Macron after the French President on Thursday Identify The Palestinian state, arguing that it would only help the Hamas and Downgrade possibilities of reaching a peace agreement between the Palestinian terrorist group and Israel.

Macron said that the decision is part of a commitment for “just and permanent peace” in the Middle East and will announce to the United Nations General Assembly in September.

“French people want peace in the Middle East. It is our responsibility – as French citizens, with Israel, Palestinians and our European and International partners – to prove that peace is possible,” Macron said.
