State Secretary Marco Rubio slammed Emmanuel Macron after the French President on Thursday Identify The Palestinian state, arguing that it would only help the Hamas and Downgrade possibilities of reaching a peace agreement between the Palestinian terrorist group and Israel.
“The United States strongly rejected the plan of @Emmanuelmacron to recognize a Palestinian state at @un Mahasabha,” Rubio Said In Thursday evening statement on X. “This careless decision only fulfills Hamas’s promotion and withdraws peace. It is a slap on the face of the victims of October 7.”
Macron said that the decision is part of a commitment for “just and permanent peace” in the Middle East and will announce to the United Nations General Assembly in September.
“French people want peace in the Middle East. It is our responsibility – as French citizens, with Israel, Palestinians and our European and International partners – to prove that peace is possible,” Macron said.
So far, in 146 countries Recognized Palestinian State. France became the first member of the group of intake (G7) to do so.

Israel has pushed against the international recognition of Palestinian state, especially in the United Nations.
