Roblox CEO Dave Baszucki Joins The New York Times’ Hard Fork Podcast To discuss gaming platforms New Age Verification Facility – but he seemed frustrated by the number of questions focused on child safety.
The interview began with Baszucki describing the feature that will require all users who want to access Roblox’s messaging features to submit a face scan. But when asked about a report that claimed the company prioritized development over security, Baszucki was tired of the topic and replied, “Fun. Let’s keep it going.”
And when co-host Kevin Roose agreed that one of the best ways for Roblox to improve child safety is to improve its AI models, Baszucki insisted, “Okay, so what we did is you’re on board with that. High-five.”
