After raising the safety concerns of the rivian employees and customers, the door handle design on its upcoming R2 SUV is changing, According to Bloomberg News,
The automekar is one of the many that have been electronically tilted in the handle of electronically lacked door. While it allows for a smooth presentation and more aerodynamic design, it often results in the automekar to tick the manual emergency door, which is removed in hard-to-fit locations.
On the R2, which comes out next year, the rivian will now put the internal manual release in the “more clearly visible” location, close to the electric-operated door handle, Bloomberg report.
The design changes occur between a wave of probes around the handle of the electronic door. Bloomberg recently published a report about Tesla’s owners and passengers, who got stuck in their vehicles due to the company’s hard-to-fit manual release.
