Pierce, 22, faces five felony charges – two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of aggravated stalking, fleeing and eluding police officers, and one count of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. He also faces nine traffic citations and a misdemeanor count of resisting an officer without violence to his person.

Jackson, 24, wrote in the petition that she had become even more afraid for her safety after Pierce tried to break up with her just weeks before his arrest. She also said Pierce told her he would pay her “up to $75,000” to hang out with him in the hours before the February 7 incident and “$200,000 to remain in a relationship with him.”

The Falcons declined to comment to ESPN. Jackson’s attorneys and Pierce’s attorney and agent did not immediately respond to messages left by ESPN.

Jackson said Pierce believed she was cheating on him and tensions rose during a confrontation in January.
