Republican humiliated financiers on the House Oversite Committee are proceeding with their investigation at Jeffrey EpsteinA new sailingFor a group of documents organized by the property of the late sexual offender on Monday.
Under the leadership of the overseas chairman James Cummer (R-Ky.), Republican is looking for Epstein’s desire; Any documents resembling Epstein’s sex trafficking allegations -any documents similar to the “client list”; Any “black books” with exposure to Epstein; The flight log in from Epstein’s aircraft and other rental aircraft; And an alleged book of Epstein’s friends reminds her 50th birthday, among a host of other records.
Birthday Book, allegedly compiled by Epstein’s long -time colleague and girlfriend Ghhishline Maxwell, includes a letter written by President Trump when he was a private citizen in New York, According to Wall Street Journal,
“It is our understanding that Jeffrey Epstein’s property is in custody and under the control of documents that can carry forward the committee’s investigation and legislative goals,” the Commerce has writtenA letter with sabpona“In addition, it is our understanding that the property is ready and these documents are ready to provide the committee according to a sabpona.”
Commerce has asked Epstein’s assets to provide information by 8 September.
Separate, Comer announced that Alexander Acosta, former US Attorney in South Florida and Labor Secretary in the first term of Trump, would appear before the committee for an infection interview on 19 September – a decision was made by Acosta voluntarily, according to the office of the commerce.
ACOSTA approved a petition deal with Epstein in 2007 when he was first accused of sexual offenses related to minors, including a federal non-emergence agreement.
After Epstein’s second arrest in 2019, including the sex trafficking of minors, Acosta set fire to critics who said the 2008 deal was very generous and Epstein was empowered to continue hunting on young girls. The investigation pushed Acosta to resign as the head of the labor department.
The oversite subputna wants a copy of that non-prone agreement, as well as any documents and communication related to it.
Additionally, the Commerce said that the committee is now ready to entertain the statements written with three former Attorney General – Alberto Gonzalase, Eric Holder and Jeff Sessions – announcing that they had no information about Epstein or Maxwell. The committee had earlier sub -groups to appear to the first three former officials, Gonzalas was expected to be removed on Tuesday – an interview that has now been canceled.
Commer wrote in his letter, “It is necessary that the Congress conducts the supervision of the enforcement of the federal government’s sex trafficking laws and especially to deal with the investigation and prosecution of Shri Epstein and Ms. Maxwell,” Comer wrote in his letter. “The committee can use the results of this investigation to report legislative solutions to improve federal efforts to deal with sexual trafficking and improve the use of non-spread agreements and/or petition agreements in sex-crime investigation.”
Comer said that the law can also be warned to strengthen the morality laws that control the revelations by the elected officials.
Epstein Estate’s Sabpona falls on another Sabapona high heel shoe, which was given to the Department of Justice demanding additional documents in Epstein saga.
The panel is demanding an interview with former government officials with a relationship with Epstein, including former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary Hillary Clinton, which are to be determined in October. In his investigation, the Cummer called Bill Clinton a “major suspect”.
Despite the GOP efforts to focus on Clinton, Epstein has been a big challenge for the President sitting saga.
Many of Trump’s supporters believe that seal Epstein documents, including an alleged “client list”, have the key to highlighting a broad criminal venture of sex trafficking and pedophilia, made by one of the global “nobles”, which was being referred by the government.
On the campaign mark, Trump suggested that he would release those government files. And he also carried forward a related story popular with his base: Epstein did not commit suicide in his prison cell in 2019, as the authorities say, but were murdered to ensure their silence.
In July, however, Trump’s Justice Department releasedA memorandumTo refute each of those claims. There is no customer list, Memo said, nor DOJ found evidence that Epstein tried to blackmail other figures, who would have committed sexual offenses. He died of suicide, Memo said, not dishonesty.
Memo impressed many of Trump’s most loyal supporters, who witnessed the decision to place the theorists of the vocal Epstein conspiracy on top administration’s posts – including Attorney General Palm Bandy and FBI Director Kash Patel – as a sign that the release of Epstein files was released.
To remove resentment, the Trump administration took new steps to reveal the information around the case. This month, Bondi’s top deputy Todd Blanche met with Maxwell in DOJ, currently serving a 20 -year sentence for crimes related to sexual abuse of minors. Additionally, DOJ officials have asked the courts to ignore the grand jury testimony tape from both Epstein and Maxwell cases.
However, two courts have denied those movements this month.
