Red meat triggers gut bacteria shift, fueling inflammation in mouse study

The study of epidemiology has revealed a strong relationship between the consumption of red meat and the development of inflamed bowel disease. In a new study published in molecular nutrition and food research which was conducted in mice, red meat consumption led to an imbalance of bacteria in the intestinal microbyota.
